History

Karimnagar Dairy, which is making strides in the milk procurement and sales and emerged as the top dairy in the entire Telangana state, was established on October 16, 1971 after the first phase of Telangana statehood movement. Then Chief Minister PV Narasimha Rao and Minister for Agriculture J Chokka Rao played a crucial role in setting up a dairy with 12,000 litres capacity in Karimnagar town during the period.

Dairy welfare schemes for animals

Loan facilities for the purchase of milch animals to the tune of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per animal Ninety percent transportation charges would be given by dairy for the milch animals purchased from other states Financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 per animal would be given to the farmers in case of the death of the milch animal

Dairy welfare programmes for farmers

KALYANAMASTHU: Under this scheme, the dairy would distribute 2.5 grams of gold (thali) and 5 grams of silver (mettalu) during the time of marriage of daughter of milk producer PAADI RYTHU BHAROSA: In this insurance scheme, the dairy would provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the bereaved family of milk producer after his or her death SCHOLARSHIPS: Under this scheme, the milk producers, who joined the Paadi rythu bharosa insurance scheme, children would be given scholarships for getting highest marks in the ninth and tenth.
